~ COMMUNITY MEETING SCHEDULED ON DRAFT WANE MORSE RANCH MASTER PLAN <br /> On Tuesda July 9, Parks Maintenance will hold a community meeting to talk <br /> about the draft of the Wayne Morse Ranch Master Plan. The meeting will be <br /> held at t e Hilyard Community Center, 2580 Hilyard Street. Drop-in sessions <br /> will run rom noon to 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Presentations are <br /> scheduled for 12:30 and 7:30 p.m. Draft plan highlights include management <br /> strategie for the stream and wetland areas (two options are presented); <br /> education 1 programs for visitors and children; restoration of the barn, <br /> shed, fen ing, and specific landscape elements; special events, tours, and <br /> programs, volunteer steward programs; and preservation and management of the <br /> woods. L tters will be mailed to interested parties and adjacent property <br /> owners th s Friday. We are encouraging people to limit comments to the new <br /> aspects o the plan rather than to focus on the dog-off-leash program. <br /> Comments eceived in connection with the February 13 hearing on the dog-off- <br /> leash pro ram will be added to any comments received at the July 9 meetings. <br /> Copies of the plan are available for the public at the PIC, the Hilyard <br /> Community Center, and Public Works.
