If <br /> adopted, he charge for a single-family home connecting to the sanitary sewer <br /> system wo ld increase from $222 to $239. Comments on the increase should be <br /> mailed by June 29 to Micheal D. Gleason, City Manager, Room 105, 777 Pearl <br /> Street, E gene OR 97401. A fact sheet is available at the Permit and <br /> Informati n Center, 244 East Broadway; the City Manager's Office, 777 Pearl <br /> Street; a d the Public Works Building, 858 Pearl Street; or by calling <br /> 681-5262. <br /> The acilities equalization charge is a fee paid by property owners or <br /> developer for new construction that connects to the sanitary sewer system <br /> for the fist time. The charge is based on the amount new users need to pay <br /> to reimbu se local property tax payers and system users for their <br /> contribut'ons to the construction of the regional sanitary sewer treatment <br /> plant. T e increase reflects an additional year of property tax payments on <br /> the const uction bonds and increases in the value of the regional treatment <br /> plant. <br /> The ewage treatment facilities were built with enough capacity to <br /> handle se age flows from the entire area within the urban growth boundary, <br /> more <br /> <br />
