The commission <br /> i <br /> develops nd oversees transportation policy and a comprehensive plan that <br /> encompass s aviation, highways, public transit, rails, and bike paths and <br /> ~ provides or orderly economic growth and efficiency, safety, and environmental <br /> <br /> ~ activities. <br /> Com fission members include Chair Mike Hollern, Bend; John Whitty, Coos <br /> Bay; Cyn hia Ford, Medford; Robert Duvall, Forest Grove; and David Bolender, <br /> ~ Portland. <br /> i <br /> During the day, the Commission will attend a series of planned activities <br /> i <br /> beginnin at 8 a.m. with a staff briefing of the Commission and followed at <br /> 9 a.m. w th their regular business meeting. Both sessions are scheduled in <br /> Harris H 11 at the Lane County Courthouse. <br /> At 1 a.m., the Commission will attend the Sixth and Seventh Avenue <br /> dedicati n ceremony celebrating the completion of the reconstuction project. <br /> The cere ony is in the Washington/Jefferson Street Park on 6th Avenue. <br /> Fol owing the dedication, the Commission will move to the Eugene <br /> Conferen a Center, Hellman Room, where more than 300 people have been invited <br /> to a no- ost lunch.
