In 1989, Martin will automatically become <br /> president of this national board. <br /> ~ CLAR is comprised of representatives from landscape architectural <br /> licensing boards from throughout the United States. The group researchs, <br /> i <br /> ~ prepares, and distributes the Uniform National Examination for landscape <br /> i <br /> architect which tests the competency of all landscape architects for <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> licensing The board works closely with representatives of state boards, <br /> engineers and architects from across the nation. <br /> Acco ding to Martin, the challenge of the Board is to communicate with <br /> professio als from diverse regions of the country and to attempt to bring <br /> <br /> I <br /> together heir ideas and concerns in a manner that can be utilized by all <br /> ~ landscape architects. <br /> <br /> { Martin manages construction projects for the public works department. He <br /> <br /> I <br /> <br /> I is Curren ly working on the Mahlon Sweet landside construction contract and <br /> <br /> i <br /> i is designing the courtyards for the new terminal building. He is also a <br /> member an past chair of Oregon's Board of Landscape Architect Examiners. <br /> i <br /> <br />
