STRUCTURAL STORM WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Shop Drawings <br />The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer six (6) sets of shop drawings and <br />the corresponding hydraulic sizing and calibration for the specific site in which <br />the specified stormwater treatment system has been designed prior to release <br />of bid documents. <br />B. Affidavit on patent infringement <br />The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer, prior to installation of the <br />structural stormwater treatment system, an affidavit regarding patent <br />infringement. This document shall state that any suit or claim against the <br />Owner due to alleged infringement rights shall be defended by the Contractor <br />who will bear all the costs, expenses and attorney's fees incurred thereof. <br />PART 2.00 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS AND DESIGN <br />The structural stormwater treatment system shall be made of precast <br />concrete. The manufacturer shall be a member of and have plant certification <br />from the National Precast Concrete Association and meet the following <br />err. manufacturing requirements: <br />A. Structures shall be designed to comply with ASTM Designation C-478. <br />B. Sections shall have watertight joints consisting of either an "off-set gasket", <br />"O ring" or a butyl mastic sealant conforming to ASTM C 990. <br />C. Cement shall be Type III Portland cement conforming to ASTM Designation C <br />150. <br />D. Pipe openings shall be provided with a flexible rubber sleeve or shall be <br />sealed by the Contractor with cement mortar and shall be sized to accept <br />pipes of the specified size(s) and material(s). <br />E. Internal metal components shall be made of stainless steel, fiberglass and or <br />high density polyethylene (HDPE). <br />F.
