Before your ~3rrival in Eugene, we met with Linda Norris and representatives from the Public
Works Department on at Least two occasions to attempt to resolve two stormwater runoff
~ problems adversely impacting our sand and gravel operations at 3600 County Farm Road.
1
' Your staff can brief you on the background of the issues; the purpose of this letter is to propose
solutions.
E
j Re~ Wester Subdivision Runoff
i
~ A,fter reviewing aerial photos of historical drainage patterns and consulting with hydrogeologic
engineers, we identified a Swale that traverses the southwest earner of Wildish property in a
northwesterly manner. We intend to facilitate stormwater flows across this natural drainage way
with the expectation that this will alleviate the stor-mwater problem at this site.
Should the city continue to be interested in channeling or piping this stormwater runoff to the
t~ pipeline in County Farm Road, we would be willing to consider granting half the width of the

~ easement necessary for such a diversion along our southern property line.
(Note: In any case, the city should consider including an evaluation of the County Farm Road
storm sewer in the Woodward-Clyde basin study to determine its adequacy and the impact which
high water flows in the McKenzie River may have on its capacity.)
.
