POCK STREET OUTFACE WATER QUALRY IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT #3984 -SCOPE AMENDMENT <br /> At the request of the City, CH2M HILL has performed several additional technical tasks to <br /> support decision-making regarding the design of improvements at the vault. These have <br /> included additional discipline involvement in the 50% design, evaluation of technologies for <br /> a shut-off system, evaluation of expected removal efficiencies, evaluation of feasibility for <br /> <br /> pumping and mechanical piping systems, and considering feasibility of remote system <br /> controls for vault operation and other items. <br /> In addition, the complexity of the project with respect to multi-disciplinary coordinatiori <br /> and review of deliverables with City staff has resulted in additional project management <br /> efforts. The City has agreed to compensate CH2M HILL for this work, valued at $31,000, <br /> under the existing Amendment No. 2 authorization. <br /> Deliverables <br /> • Purchase order for confined space entry and field observation of vault inspection <br /> • 50% design of structural, roadway, and pavement systems <br /> • 50% design memorandum highlighting proposed elements and work needed to <br /> complete the design <br /> • Sediment removal efficiency analysis and technical memorandum <br /> • Estimate of feasibility and cost for remote sensing and operation of vault controls <br /> • Schematic design of overshot weir gate system <br /> • Investigation of mechanical systems and pumping requirements , <br /> • Preparation of cost proposal for services during construction and final design <br /> amendment <br /> Task 7.2 60% Submittal <br /> Submit revisions to the 50% plans, incorporating design components from comments <br /> regarding modifications to the maintenance access facilities, connection to sanitary sewer <br /> conveyance, and hatch and vault configurations. This will be a m;n;mal effort submittal <br /> with the effect of being a snapshot of the plans going to 90°l° but prior to many of the details <br /> necessary fora 90% completion. <br /> Deliverables , <br /> Plans -11x17 pdf file uploaded to CH7M HILL ftp site. <br /> Task 7.3 90% Submittal <br /> Prepare and submit the preliminary (90%) plans (pdf,11x17) and engineer's construction <br /> cost estimate with a +30%/-20% level of accuracy to the City for review. Plans and <br /> specifications will include structural details, loading conditions for contractor designed <br /> excavation support, requirements for excavation, excavation support, groundwater control, <br /> and fill and backfill, mechanical details, plan and profile of sanitary sewer connection line, <br /> plan and profile of maintenance access road, pavement typical sections, and other draft <br /> details and drawings as needed for construction of the facility.
