Contract Documents for Construction of the Preferred Near-term Project Alternative <br /> Task 3.1 Final Design - CH2M HILL will prepare final construction plans, specifications, <br /> and engineers cost estimate for the preferred altemative. It is assumed that the scope of the <br /> selected alternative, and the design phase, may include up to six water quality faciUties <br /> distributed in the basin, and may include system retrofits, installation of proprietary <br /> facilities, and/or unique designs. <br /> Plan sheets will be completed on 11-inch by 17-inch format using City of Eugene borders. <br /> The technical specifications will be prepared as technical speaal provisions to the 2002 <br /> Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Standard Specifications for Construction . <br /> and City of Eugene amendments. This project will be completed in English units. <br /> Task 3.2 Submittals <br /> Two design submittals will be provided in Task 3; these include a preliminary (50%) <br /> submittal and a final (100%) signed construction document submittal. Our fee estimate <br /> assumed the following number of sheets for this project: <br /> • Title sheet (1) <br /> • Plan orplan/profile sheets (up to 12) <br /> • Detail Sheets (up to 10) <br /> The cost per sheet assumes a majority of the drawings. will be plan views showing the <br /> location of the work, e.g. installation of inlet inserts, replacement of an existing manhole <br /> with a manufactured sediment, vortex or filter~unit. Major piping revision alternatives, <br /> structural designs, etc. were not included. The design package will likely require some <br /> additional plan preparation including erosion control, structural drawings, <br /> planting/landscaping plan, demolition plan, or other. Following selection of the preferred <br /> alternative, the budget for design will be evaluated for sufficiency in light of the required <br /> plans and details, and amended if necessary. <br /> Preliminary (50%) Submittal <br /> Prepare and submit the preliminary (50°~b) plans (10 sets, 11x17) and preliminary engineer's <br /> construction cost estimate with a +30~°/-20% level of accuracy to the City for review. <br /> Appropriate technical special provision sections will be identified and preliminary edits <br /> made, for this submittal. Conduct review meeting with the City to discuss 50 percent <br /> document. Review comments will be addressed and incorporated into the 100% design if <br /> appropriate.
