The pre- <br /> bidding conference will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Public <br /> Works Engineering, 244 E. Broadway, Eugene, Oregon. <br /> Either the prime Contractor or a designated representative from the prime <br /> Contractor that bids on the project must attend the mandatory pre-bidding <br /> conference. Bids from bidders who do not attend the mandatory pre-bidding <br /> conference will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. <br /> 00130.10 Award of Contract <br /> (ADD) The lowest responsible bidder will be determined by the combined total of the <br /> contract Bid Schedules. <br /> If the unit prices are excessively unbalanced in the judgment of the Engineer to <br /> the potential detriment of the City the proposal may be considered irregular and <br /> be rejected. <br /> 00150.40 Cooperation and Superintendence by the Contractor: <br /> (a) General-The Contractor shall: <br /> (ADD) The University of Oregon will be constructing improvements to Hayward field, <br /> address 1600 E. 15th Avenue, and the School of Music and Dance, address 961 <br /> E. 18"' Avenue, during the course of this contract. The Contractor shall <br /> communicate with the University of Oregon's designated representatives, as <br /> identified by the Engineer, on a daily basis to coordinate the scheduling of work <br /> activities and impiementafion of traffic control with the University of Oregon's <br /> construction activities and access requirements. <br /> 00180.40 Limitations of Operations <br /> (ADD) Top lift and base lift paving, except for paving in an area of Surface Stabilization <br /> or Pavement Removal, shall not be performed on the same calendar day as <br /> Surface Stabilization and Pavement Removal work on a street. <br /> (ADD) Where storm and wastewater repairs require lane closures, repair areas shall be <br /> re-opened to traffic no more than four (4) Calendar days after beginning of work <br /> requiring lane closure. <br /> <br /> Special Provisions -Job #'s 4341, 4422, 4442 Page 1 <br /> <br />
