The concept plan includes a <br /> play area,park lights,trees,pathways,a garden fence and gate,a park sign and benches. <br /> Irwin Park(Connector) <br /> Phase: Construction <br /> The improvements to the main portion of Irwin Park were completed in 2002.Construction started at the <br /> "Irwin Connector"in August. This project includes a concrete walk,fence,lighting,two picnic tables, <br /> landscape and irrigation. The concrete walk is complete,the fence is finished, footings for the light <br /> standards are in and irrigation will be starting soon.Project completion is scheduled for mid-November. <br /> Lark Park <br /> Phase: Construction completed <br /> Thanks to cooperation and creativity with POS maintenance crews,this small west Eugene park has <br /> received a significant face lift. Residents have already reported increased usage by families and children as <br /> a result of the work. Completed improvements include a new and expanded playground with seat wall, <br /> turf renovation of the play field,irrigation,and a new picnic area with tables. Trees are scheduled to be <br /> planted this winter. <br /> • Laurel Hill Park <br /> Phase:Project complete <br /> Marche Chase Park <br /> Phase:Planning/public involvement <br /> The public involvement phase for development of this 2.75-acre park located on Chevy <br /> Chase Street just north of Alton Baker Park begins this fall.The park,donated to the `y �` <br /> city in 1973,contains both a flat grassy meadow and a beautiful natural area with large <br /> firs and oaks.The first public meeting is scheduled for late October. <br /> Milton Park <br /> Phase:Design/Construction <br /> Construction documents are at the 75%completion stage. Planned improvements include a new play area <br /> with all new equipment and sand play features,picnic tables,benches,a bike rack,a water fountain,a park <br /> sign,a small basketball half-court,improved plantings,street trees and sidewalks.Pending resolution of <br /> planning and permitting issues,construction is scheduled to begin in early summer 2004. <br /> Oakmont Park <br /> Phase: Construction <br /> Construction on Oakmont Park began in late July and is progressing well. The site has been graded, <br /> utilities have been installed and concrete walks have been poured.
