"We hope that the surrounding community will look favorably on Greek life at the university because of fraternity and
sorority members' efforts to clean up this waterway,"says Joe Boyd, lnterfraternity Council Vice President for Community
Service and co-coordinator of the event. Boyd hopes to further demonstrate the UO Greek Life's commitment to making a
positive contribution to the community by making this an annual event. Construction is
anticipated to start in 2005.
Improvements will be funded in part by the parks and open space bond measure voters approved in 1998. For more
information, contact Philip Richardson, parks planner, at 682-4800 or philip.s.richardson@ci.eugene.or.us.
THIS WEEK
NEXT WEEK
10/20 M 5:30pm All Interviews for Boards & Comm.
