-2-
The level of flood emergency preparedness within your district was
discussed during the inspection. Your organization's capability to operate during
a flooding emergency appears acceptable. Emergency access to your levee
appears generally satisfactory. We do not have on file a current copy of your
emergency flood response plan. The plan should have a current list of resources
including personnel, supplies and emergency equipment that could be activated
when flooding threatens. To assist you in preparing for a flood emergency, we
would suggest you participate in a flood emergency exercise at your first
opportunity. You could contact the Lane County Emergency Management office
for additional information.
If we can assist you further with the operation and maintenance of your
flood protection facilities and with your emergency preparedness please contact
Mr. Les Miller, Chief, Emergency Management Branch, at (503) 326-6099.
Sincerely,
461146-
Richard R. Goodell, P.E.
Acting Chief, Operations Division
Enclosure
