The
City is also working with environmental advocates to limit
vegetation removal to only that which is necessary to ensure the
channel capacity is not limited and unwanted vegetation will not
result in backwater. Selective mowing, and brush and tree
removal •is recommended in the channel between 26th and 33rd
Avenues to ensure adequate velocities during times of high flow.
b. Removal of berry vines was noted from the right bank of
the channel side slope in the vicinity of the fairgrounds. Bark
chips have been placed in minor ruts between Danebo and Terry
streets. These findings were noted in the 1994 inspection
report.
c.
