WESTUN/V.RAM Page 2
Subject: WEST UNIVERSITY PARK
We will be working with Shannon McCarthy of the West University Neighbors to set up a neighborhood
meeting to discuss the problems and our proposed solutions at West University Park.
The date, time and place for this meeting have not been set as of yet.
Our intention is to notify the following people of this meeting.
1) West University Neighbors - Executive Board
2) University Small Business Association - representatives
3) Neighborhood property owners & residents living within 200 feet of the park
4) Councilors Kevin Hornbuckle & Barbara Keller
5) Jim Johnson and Abe Farkas
The attached letter would be mailed to the above people. Please review the letter for any additions or
corrections. Suggestions are welcome!
Because CDBG funds were used both in the purchase and development of the park, we will use the plant
material in other parks and it is our intention to salvage the picnic shelter if possible. The CDBG
funding issues has raised several questions with Planning and Development staff.
cc: Bob Hammitt
Ken Saxon
Attachment
