HAMMITT Bob
From: ANDERSEN Chris F
To: HAMMITT Bob; REINHARD Dave N
Subject: RE: Morse RAnch-Off Leash Area
Date: Thursday, March 21, 1996 1:09PM
Bob, I am a little concerned about signing for no parking and leaving the current gate. What is the earliest
time we could complete the entire project at one time? This could become an enforcement problem and
additional relationship problem with the neighbors if we stretch it out too far. Chris
From: HAMMITT Bob
To: ANDERSEN Chris F
Subject: FW: Morse RAnch-Off Leash Area
Date: Thursday, March 21, 1996 1 1 :24AM
For your info, Bob
From: MORGAN Dick A
To: HAMMITT Bob
Subject: Morse RAnch-Off Leash Area
Date: Thursday, March 21, 1996 10:36AM
Written response on the Morse Ranch off leash area changes
will be accepted through this friday, March 22nd. To date
(3/21), I have received four letters. One neighbor is
concerned that the City's action will simply move the problem
from it's current location to the corner of 31st and Lincoln
where we will have to deal with it again in the future.
Another neighbor to the north of 31st street is concerned
about vehicles parking or turning around in her driveway.
These are the three panhandle lots that have been built in the
last two years. She would like to see NO PARKING signs on the
west side of Lincoln street north of 31st. This is a
reasonable request. One individual would like to see the
southeast corner of Lincoln and 31st have the curb paint
yellow back to the first driveway, because a gray Mazda is
always parked near the corner on the east side of Lincoln(Paul
Rabis). The final letter is a request for parking on the flat
area because they are disabled and cannot walk the hill from
the parking lot. We have already done a minimal amount of
vegetation removal from the end of 31st to where the new gate
will be on the north side of the off leash area. My thought
was to have the west side curb of Lincoln painted yellow the
first week of April. We would also post the NO PARKING signs
at that time. I think that we need to leave the gate on
Lincoln St. available until we have the new path and gate
constructed and usable. The path construction will be the
time consuming part of this process, because we are still
unable to get a vehicle into the area. The spreading of the
gravel base and the wood chips topping will be done by hand.
The removal of some of the existing signs and placement of any
new signage needs be coordinated with the changes as they
occur.
Page 1
