HAMMITT Bob
From: NORRIS Linda H
To: ANDERSEN Chris F
Cc: MORGAN Dick A; HAMMITT Bob
Subject: RE: W-J Park Fees
Date: Tuesday, February 20, 1996 9:19AM
Chris, that sounds good to me. Somehow, we'll need to get agreement on what the reduced rate will be
so that groups whose activities fit into the exceptions will know how much they have to pay. Thanks for
working on this. Linda
From: ANDERSEN Chris F
To: NORRIS Linda H
Cc: MORGAN Dick A; HAMMITT Bob
Subject: W-J Park Fees
Date: Monday, February 19, 1996 5:16PM
Linda, I have talked to Glenn Klein about the options for
charging some users for the use of W-J Park facilities and not
charging others for activities that support Council Goals for
public safety, cultural enrichment (there has to be some goal
that fits that one) and youth. Based on our discussion it
appears that the most straight forward way of handling this
would be to have Council adopt a resolution establishing the
criteria under which it is in the public interest for
activities not to be charged as required by their Eugene
Decisions fiscal policies for cost recovery. Then we adopt
Administrative Rules with the new rates and reference the
Council resolution covering exceptions. Let me know if you
see something I am missing in this approach. Otherwise I will
work on some resolution language for everyone to review and we
will take a swing at this.
Bob, let's talk tomorrow about language that might work. Thanks, Chris
Page 1
