REVISED TWELVE POINT PROGRAM FOR LIGHTING, USE AND MAINTENANCE OF SHELDON BASEBALL DIAMOND 1. Scheduling the use of the Sheldon diamond during the summer months when school is not in session would be conducted through the City Park and Recreation Office. 2. Sheldon High School would schedule use of the diamond during the period of the regular school year and when the baseball season is involved. 3. The City of Eugene would maintain the baseball field including the lights. ,K •9 SEC 4. The School District would share in the maintenance and operation expenses to the extent that it was using the baseball diamond and lights for the athletic program or the district physical education program. 5. The City of Eugene would provide the lights for the field and Eugene Boys Athletic Association would arrange for the installa- tion with no cost to the district. These lights would become the property of the school district and the maintenance and operation of them would, however, be the responsibility of the City of Eugene as mentioned in number three. 6. Other improvements of the field such as additional tiling, installa- tion of dugouts, and outfield fence would be provided by parents groups, the various association involved, all of this being at no expense to the school district. : 7. Bleachers Bleachers adequate to District No. 4 use would be included in the (1C -`;- Sheldon High School budget request and installed by the school district when the budget items have been finally approved. 8. School District employees and appropriate representatives of the city government will confer and develop plans for the location of drainage, dugouts, fence, lights, bleachers, and any other installa- tipn ...needed due to the City-School District joint planning program. 9. Wrieveen <onfirmation of the wig-ingness of the City of Eugene to accept the responsibility for maintaining the diamond and maintain- ing and operating the lights of Sheldon field will be provided.
