Schedule C <br /> February 22, 1965 <br /> 12-Point Program adopted by the Board of Directors of School District No. 4, Lane County, <br /> Oregon, for inclusion in the formal agreement for Use of Sheldon Baseball Field. <br /> 1. Scheduling the use of the Sheldon diamond during the summer months when school <br /> is not in session would be conducted through the City Park and Recreation office. <br /> 2. Sheldon High School would schedule use of the diamond during the period of the <br /> regular school year and when the baseball season is involved. <br /> 3. The City of Eugene would maintain the baseball field including the lights. <br /> 4. The School District would share in the maintenance and operation expenses to the <br /> extent that it was using the baseball diamond and lights for the athletic program or <br /> the district physical education program. <br /> 5. The Lane County Baseball Association would provide the lights for the field and <br /> arrange for the installation with no cost to the district. These lights would become <br /> • the property of the school district and the maintenance and operation of them would, <br /> however, be the responsibility of the City of Eugene as mentioned in number three.- - - <br /> 6. Other improvements of the field such as additional tiling, installation of dugouts, <br /> and outfield fence would be provided by parent groups, the various associations in- <br /> volved, all of this being at no expense to the school district. <br /> 7. Bleachers adequate to District 4 use would be included in the Sheldon High School <br /> budget request and installed by the school district when the budget items have been <br /> finally approved. <br /> 8. School District employees and appropriate representatives of the city government <br /> will confer and develop plans for the location of the drainage, dugouts, fence, lights, <br /> bleachers, and any other installations needed due to the City-School District joint <br /> planning program . <br /> 9. Written confirmation of the willingness of the City of Eugene to accept the respon- <br /> sibility for maintaining the diamond and maintaining and operating the lights of <br /> Sheldon field will be provided. <br /> 10. The School District Board of Directors will authorize the Lane County Baseball <br /> Association to proceed with the installation of lights with the understanding that <br /> there will be no cost to the district either in the installation or in the maintenance <br /> of the lights. <br /> 11. The question of gate receipts, concessions, and the use of facilities for tournaments <br /> will be made matters of further conference and study and subject to final approval <br /> of the Board of Directors of School District 4 and the governing bodies of all the <br /> grots ,involved. <br /> 12. The formal approval of these previous eleven points by the City of Eugene and the <br /> Eugene School District will be established before.the Lane County Baseball Associa- <br /> tion is to be notified to proceed with the installation of the lights. <br />
