Picado, Parks and Open Space Public Information Specialist, 682-4814 or <br /> 682-4800, therese.m.picado(c�ci.eugene.or.us <br /> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> FRIENDS OF HENDRICKS PARK KICKS OFF LECTURE SERIES NEXT MONDAY <br /> Botanist Bruce Newhouse will kick off the Friends of Hendricks Park Spring/Summer <br /> Lecture Series with a talk on the native and nonnative plants of Hendricks Park on Monday, <br /> March 10, at 7 p.m., in the Tykeson Room at the Eugene Public Library at 10th and Olive. <br /> Newhouse is the cofounder of Salix Associates, an environmental planning firm, as well as the <br /> president of the Native Plant Society of Oregon. <br /> This is the first of a series of four lectures sponsored by the Friends of Hendricks Park. <br /> Other lectures in the series include: Invasives from a Gardener's Perspective with Marjoleina <br /> Schat on May 12; Birds of Hendricks Park with Dan Gleason on July 14; and Forest Ecology <br /> with Alan Dickman on September 15. <br /> All events are free and open to the public.
