The six individuals that <br /> responded provided the following information. <br /> Feedback on Policy Areas: <br /> J'Iission: <br /> Ouestion to the group: Do you agree the mission statement captures the essence of why this service system <br /> exists? <br /> Responses: Yes: 6 No: 0 Maybe: 0. <br /> Summary of Comments: <br /> Clarify mission statement - emphasize downtown district constituency. <br /> Focus more on attracting patrons and visitors to downtown in general. <br /> Add visual art education to the mission. <br /> Action Taken: <br /> Mission statement wording was reviewed and revised for clarity. <br /> Downtown Area Businesses added as a stakeholder (system map). <br /> "Develop arts audiences" added as an outcome. <br /> Direction Needed from Budget Committee: <br /> Does the budget committee wish staff to develop an alternative plan of increased scope (visual arts <br /> education) and funding for this program? <br /> Outcomes: <br /> Question to the group: Do you agree the outcomes reflect the longer range desired results to which this <br /> service's outputs contribute? <br /> Responses: Yes: 6 No: 0 Maybe: 0. <br /> Summary of Comments: <br /> Take care that "economic development" does not dominate artistic purposes. <br /> Change "bolster" economic development to "contribute to" it. <br /> Art education is overlooked as an outcome. <br /> Outcomes of the program are evident and strong in the community. <br /> Action Taken: <br /> Outcome wording was changed to read: "Contribute to economic development." <br /> Direction Needed from Budget Committee: <br /> none <br /> 1 II -14 <br />
