The service consists of low- income housing programs <br /> including housing development, innovative emergency housing responses, land acquisition for housing, <br /> coordination with Intergovernmental Human Services, and the City of Eugene's neighborhood <br /> program. There is also a close tie to the housing rehabilitation activities in different service category, <br /> Business and Financial Services. <br /> Service Profile Team: <br /> Lew Bowers, Development Director <br /> Linda Dawson, Grants and Operations Manager <br /> Christine Donahue, Neighborhood Coordinator <br /> Richie Weinman, Housing and Neighborhood Manager <br /> *Other staff will be included on an as- needed basis. <br /> Service Profile Meeting Schedule <br /> Beginning in September, the team will meet with Roland Hoskins and Patty Boyle each week. All <br /> aspects of the service profile will be done. The team's work will be completed by the end of <br /> November and presented to the SISC. <br /> Citizen Involvement <br /> Expenditures for Affordable Housing and Neighborhood Development activities are funded through a <br /> combination of federal and general funds and are ultimately approved by the Eugene City Council. For <br /> housing development, the Intergovernmental Housing Policy Board advises on housing activities. They <br /> follow activities closely, both recommending uses of funds and evaluating the results of the service. <br /> The Community Development Block Grant Advisory (CDBG) Committee also provides direction <br /> during their process to allocate CDBG funds. Emergency Housing and related services are reviewed <br /> by both the Intergovernmental Human Services Committee and the City Council directly. The Council <br /> Committee to Finance Affordable Housing is currently reviewing potential revenue options to support <br /> low- income housing. <br />
