MATSLER Clara T
From: Hank Wetzel [rphg @comcast.net]
Sent: Friday, March 13, 2009 11:04 AM
To: MATSLER Clara T; HAYDEN Kristi M; HALLETT Jackie C
Cc: rich.dahll @gmail.com; MCKERROW Mike J
Subject: FW: When were the fire hazard documents sent in the departmental mail system?
Dear Clara,
Please hold on to this email in your records in case it becomes necessary for the Hunter's Glen PUD to set up a
meeting with Mr. Medlin. If you have time to read the information below, you may be able to suggest the most
direct approach to getting this issued resolved as soon as possible, or if you prefer the PUD representatives can
set up a meeting with Mr. Medlin. How far out is his calendar booked in advance?
I reviewed the list of questions the PUD had regarding our on going compliant that city code was not enforced
with regard to a property in our subdivision and the complaint that was made back in September of 2008 with
Jackie Hallett after she reviewed the list of questions with you. I left a detailed voicemail message per Jackie
Hallett's suggestion after we reviewed the list of questions for Kristi Hayden as Jackie is not familiar enough with
the complaint to answer specific questions the PUD has.
We are hoping to get some answers to the questions we have as to why city code was not enforced as staff
employees indicated to this PUD it would be.
Our PUD respectfully requests that city code enforcement take place on our street from our PUD's complaints.
Respectfully,
Marcy Roberts - Wetzel
ACC Member
Hunter's Glen PUD
From: Hank Wetzel [mailto:rphg @comcast.net]
Sent: Friday, March 13, 2009 10:49 AM
To: 'rich.dahll @gmail.com'; 'MCKERROW Mike J'; ' kristi .m.hayden @ci.eugene.or.us'
Cc: 'SCHMIDT Brenda S'
Subject: FW: When were the fire hazard documents sent in the departmental mail system?
Dear City Staff employees,
This has been forwarded to home owner and former HOA Board President, Rich Dahl for his records. Rich may
we assure you that we fully intend to seek city code enforcement as current representatives of the Hunter's Glen
PUD and we certainly believe that this PUD has a right to expect city code enforcement. Rich we certainly
apologize that we relied on Mike McKerrow to pass on the informational brochures and correspondence you
placed in our hands to give to Public Works and /or the city department that is ultimately responsible for acting on
the PUD's complaints regarding the property located at 4989 Hunter's Glen Drive.
Our request to city staff employees is that city code is enforced as the city indicated it would be on the September
24, 2008 with the correspondence sent from city staff employees to the homeowner who violated city code then.
He continues to violate city code related to weeds over 10" high and a lot that does not maintain the basic
standard of landscaping as is set by city code for the first 10 feet off of a sidewalk.
The home owners of this subdivision certainly have a right to expect city code to be enforced when complaints are
received and acted on by city staff employees with stated consequences to the violator if city code is not complied
with by the stated timeline in the September 24, 2008 which was stated as 10 days.
Although it is not the complainants responsible to follow through with advising city employees that city code is still
3/13/2009
