Kristi returned the voicemail left on October 13, 2008 and faxed the September 24, 2008 dated letter that was sent to the violator for the PUD's records. The complainants indicated on October 13, 2008 to Kristi Hayden that no action had been taken by the home owner to correct city code violations and requested enforcement of city code. The city did not send out someone to cut the tall grass and weeds as is stated in the correspondence to the home owner. The tall grass and weeds were never cut by the home owner nor by the city per the correspondence that indicates the city "will be required to start an enforcement process ". The overgrown "tall grass and weeds" as was determined by your investigation on September 23, 2008 were never cut or maintained per your instructions. Jackie Hallet indicated yesterday that she believe the home owner had advised staff that he had cut the tall grass and weeds. Please advise this PUD what information you received from the home owner that indicated he had cut his tall grass and weeds below 10" per city code and your instructions to him, if you relied on his word and /or if you confirmed his compliance by a site visit. Neighbors have documented to you via photographical evidence that the tall grass and weeds were never cut as they are willing to do by written testimony as well. It is certainly makes no logical sense to believe the word of the violator versus the word of the rest of the homeowners in this subdivision. It is unacceptable for city employees to not enforce city code when complaints are made and the enforcement process is initiated by city employees after an inspection by the city determines the complaint to be a valid complaint. We hope that we have misunderstood Jackie Hallett that it will cost the subdivision money for requesting beyond a "threshold" of information as to why city code was not enforced. We believe our tax payer dollars fund the enforcement of city code and that it does not cost home owners who comply with city code money to insist that city staff employees do their job by enforcing city code when complaints are justifiable and have been made. Please advise this PUD how a formal complaint can be made that city code was not enforced by Public Works staffed employees back in September of 2008, if you are unwilling to re- consider your obligation to enforce city code per this PUD's complaints. Dear Mike and Kristi, After a conversation with Jackiet Hallet yesterday it is apparent that she was unsure if the fire hazard informational documents Rich Dahl requested be handed to the departments that were required to enforce city code have not been sent? Arrived? Been reviewed? by Kristi before the March 9, 2009 correspondence was sent to the Hunter's Glen PUD Home Owners Association regarding a complaint that was filed back in September of 2008 regarding the property located at 4989 Hunter's Glen Drive. Rich Dahl lives directly across the street from the homeowner whom the complaint was made about and is a 3/13/2009
