Mr. Bonnett articulated the change, as follows: <br />• Page 2, paragraph 3: "Charlene showed materials that she brought for CPC members <br />and staff." <br />Mr. Biggs, seconded by Mr. Ernst, moved to approve the minutes of July 12, <br />2007, as amended. The motion passed, 11:0:1; Mr. Peara abstaining. <br />5. Announcements and Points of Information <br />Mr. Peara announced that Nearby Nature would be holding its I V b annual Haunted Hike on <br />October 26. He said it would be a great opportunity to learn more about nocturnal animals. He <br />stated that it started at 5:30 p.m. and there would be a pre- registration for time slots. <br />Ms. Behm related that the she had attended the first meeting on the Interstate 5 project after a <br />summer hiatus. She said she had reviewed the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and <br />thought staff had done a good job of protecting the park. <br />Mr. Bonnett asked Ms. Behm if the CPC should have a subcommittee meet to make recommenda- <br />tions to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). Ms. Behm replied that she did not <br />think so. She added that the Habitat Committee could consider working with them. <br />6. Reports on Subcommittees <br />a. Wildlife/Habitat <br />Mr. Bonnett related that Mr. Ard had asked to be relieved of being chair of the subcommittee. He <br />asked subcommittee members to consider volunteering to take over as chair. <br />Ms. Larison said the Wildlife /Habitat Subcommittee had not met. <br />b. Governmental Relations <br />Mr. Sonnichsen reported that the subcommittee had discussed the Intergovernmental Agreement <br />(IGA) between the University and the City regarding the Whilamut Natural Area, specifically <br />relating to Autzen Stadium events. He said the subcommittee had submitted a reaction to the IGA <br />for the scrutiny of the CPC. He asked for suggestions for improvements, noting that the <br />document was slated to expire at the end of this year. <br />c. Signage <br />Ms. Nunn related that the Signage Committee had discussed the Eastgate River Walk area.
