Minutes from 11 -12 -94 <br />Friends of Delta Ponds <br />Meeting started at 2:10 p.m. at Willamette Oaks Library. <br />Attendees: Kurt Jensen, Charlie Patton, Iris Sayre, Alice Hoffman, <br />Jan Beals, Hal Gausman. <br />Meeting sTm - Ted with a brief discussion of the source and flow "M - <br />Debrick Slough. <br />Item 1 <br />Group selected name of the group as Friends of Delta Ponds. <br />Item 2 <br />-Brief discussion of city and county boundries in relation to Delta <br />Ponds and Debrick Slough. Concluded that our area of concern WO u <br />be the oxbiow jL�f i.iic w i'iimnette River from Valley River Center to the <br />terminus of Debrick Slough at the Willamette River north of the <br />Beltline Expressway, and all of its tributaries, and the Delta Ponds <br />east of Delta Highway and south of the Beltline Expressway. It was <br />suggested and approved that we encourage monitoring of other ponds in <br />the general area. <br />Item 3 <br />The next meeting is scheduled for December 10th at 2:00 p.m. at the <br />same location, unless otherwise arranged. <br />It was discussed that the next litter pi h4-22-95, s imilar <br />Day. <br />the one that occured on 10-1-94, is scheduled for <br />It was decided that Kurt would generate letters to all the names in the <br />F.O.D.P. data base, that would include a copy of the minutes. <br />Jan Beales vounteered to plug FODP into the Island Lakes Association. <br />Charlie and Kurt will design and generate a Flyer with the date of the <br />next meeting, the mission statement, and incorporating the graphic <br />elements of a frog, a heron, and some native vegetation. This flyer will attract <br />be posted at appro priate anno unce he date and publicize <br />on f the next <br />members, and meeting. <br />Item 4 <br />It was decided that the Valley River Village development was the <br />"hottest" item facing Debrick Slough. It was suggested that there was <br />an Environmental Review filed with the City that we should look at <br />before meetin wi th aware of P <br />he the <br />development <br />company is alread <br />
