City Manager <br /> • <br /> SUBJECT: DECLARATION OF SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY <br /> The City has a piece of surplus real property that it would like to exchange <br /> with an adjoining property owner. The property is located at the northern <br /> boundary of Awbrey Park. The Lane County tax lot number is 17- 04 -01 -21 -500. <br /> This property was acquired by the City in 1989 from Lane County, and existed <br /> at that time as a public park. with access to the north anticipated through a <br /> long narrow strip of the property. Recent subdivision development has provided <br /> a shorter access point to a public street (Culmet Avenue), however a minor <br /> boundary adjustment is needed with the adjoining property to the north to <br /> provide proper bike path alignment. The adjacent property owner, Cohen Family <br /> Trust, has agreed to a land exchange of equal size and value. Lane County has <br /> released its reversionary rights on this piece of Awbrey Park (2058 square <br /> feet) to allow the transaction to occur. <br /> The attached Declaration of Surplus Real Property contains the information on <br /> the property that will be surplused and exchanged in accordance with the City <br /> Code. <br /> Attachments: Declaration of Surplus Property <br /> Property Exchange Agreement <br />
