Gleason, City Manager <br /> From: John Weber, Parks Planner <br /> Subject: EXCHANGE OF SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY AT AWBREY PARK <br /> City code requires that the City Council be notified by the City Manager of any Declaration of <br /> Surplus Real Property, including the sale, lease, exchange, or donation of real property. The <br /> attached agreement is the result of negotiations with a private land owner adjacent to Awbrey <br /> Park. In accordance with Section 2.862(1)(b) of the Eugene Code, the 6ouncil must decide <br /> within 10 days after receiving notice whether to review the proposed transaction. In reviewing, <br /> the Council may affirm, modify or reject the proposed transaction. Upon receiving notice of the <br /> proposed transaction, the Council may waive review of the transaction in which event the City <br /> Manager may immediately accept the-proposal. , <br /> Please note that this item may be handled as an information packet item only, and need not be an <br /> agenda item, nor is any public hearing required. <br /> Details are explained in the attached memo to Council, Declaration of Surplus Real Property, and <br /> Property Exchange Agreement.
