Special Campus Concerns.
Campus Security
The joint facilities on 4J property will be used in a fashion that is compatible with protecting the safety and
security of 4J students and staff during the instructional day. As a result, the District reserves the right to
control use and access to the facilities during instructional days.
The District recognizes and supports modest and safe use of existing 4J fields by neighbors and the
community during the instructional day. For example, high school tracks are used by seniors, college
students, and others, while 4J school is in session, and while 4J classes are not using the tracks. We
would want to encourage and support the continued safe use in this manner of existing and new facilities.
The District reserves the right to, without prior notice, restrict partial or all use, for a short period of time
(i.e., days or weeks), for security and safety purposes. Any long range change to usage or policy around
usage would be discussed with the User Committee prior to implementation.
The school grounds will be posted with signs to the effect that the areas are school grounds and that
public access is welcome, but may be restricted, without prior notice, for security or instructional (see
below) reasons, while school is in session.
Compatible Practices
The fields and play areas will be scheduled and used during instructional days in a manner which is
compatible with District instructional use.
Dogs, on leashes, can be brought on the property provided that the animals are not a physical or sound
nuisance or danger and provided that the owners' clean -up dog litter as they go.
Members of the community arriving by car to use the facilities during the instructional day may not park in
the school lots during that time.
Boiler plate language.
