Sounds
like a little more attention to detail could save dollars. thanks, doug
From: SUTTON Ron W
To: EVELETH Doug A
Subject: FW: Energy Use at Rose Garden Maintenance
Date: Tuesday, April 22, 1997 11:57AM
This is a good example of the kind of waste Lynne can identify but it's up to individual staff and their
supervisors and managers to put a stop to. I don't know if this is something that Bob Hammitt should be
aware of or do we just leave as it is.
From: EICHNER Lynne M
To: STANSFIELD Adrian E
Cc: MORGAN Dick A; SUTTON Ron W
Subject: Energy Use at Rose Garden Maintenance
Date: Tuesday, April 22, 1997 11:22AM
Took a quick look this morning at the Maintenance building to see if I could learn why the energy use has
been double the usual in the last three months. We had actually been expecting use to decrease since this
is not used as a full -time workspace any longer. I found the doors open, two heaters on full, all the
lights on, three hot water taps running and no one in the building. I imagine this has been a major part of
the extra energy cost at this facility. Previous to this the all time high was $130, last month the bill was
$260, this month $230. Just thought you might want to know.
Page 1
