City Council knows results during their meeting. <br /> Another example is ODOT public hearing, where individuals verbally gave input <br /> to a recorder <br /> 3 Policy should reflect public will. Acknowledge public input and what public <br /> desires. Explain rationale and basis for decision, link to citizen input. <br /> 3 Council commit to a more aggressive policy for diversifying top City staff <br /> positions. More diversity = diverse elements of community feel there is better <br /> access and representation. <br /> 3 Greater outreach to young people <br /> Focus a meeting on their needs, issues. <br /> Special invitations sent to schools. <br /> Council members personally acknowledge /encourage involvement so that <br /> the pattern continues <br /> 11 -7 <br />
