Bethel School District #52
4640 Barger Drive, Eugene, Oregon 97402 -1297 Business: 1503) 689 -3280
FAX: 1503) 689 -0719
July 19, 1995
Bob Hammitt, Maintenance Director
City of Eugene
Public Works
1820 Roosevelt Boulevard
Eugene, OR 97402
Dear Bob:
RE: YOUR COMMUNICATION DATED JUNE 20, 1995
Thank you very much for your written communication concerning the
Shasta ball fields in Bethel's ball field mowing program. I have
discussed your concerns with Richard Bonebrake, Bethel's -
maintenance supervisor, and he indicated that it continues to be
Bethel's intention to mow the fields on Fridays. It is Richard's
belief that we have done that for the most part over the many years
that he has worked here. I'm sure that you recall that the month
of May, 1995, was very wet and, as a result, our mowing schedule
was extremely disrupted.
In the spring of 1996, should the mowing of the fields become an
issue, please have the appropriate personnel from your operation
contact Richard by calling his cell phone number (554- 1259).
Regarding the development of a formal maintenance agreement between
the two agencies, I don't sense the need to "jump through such
hoops" at this time, but if that is something you strongly desire,
then I am certainly willing to discuss it further.
Thank you very much and I trust that the mowing is going along as
scheduled during these warm summer days.
Sincerely yours,
TIM KEELEY
Assistant Superintendent
TK:jw
c: Richard Bonebrake, Bethel Maintenance Supervisor
6 Kent Hunsaker
Superintenden
Tim Keeley Bob Lady - -- - Carl Cole Alan L.
