The City of Eugene and Bethel School <br /> District 52 have had a long term arrangement for sharing use of the Shasta ballfields as well <br /> as sharing maintenance responsibilities. <br /> After our phone conversation, I did some follow up with City maintenance staff. We are not <br /> aware of a signed written agreement regarding maintenance responsibilities. We did find the <br /> attached unsigned agreement. It appears that our practices have been consistent with this <br /> document. Let me know if you have a signed agreement. If not, it would probably be <br /> advisable for us to enter into a formal agreement for clarity and liability purposes. <br /> The City would request that Bethel School District 52 place the ballfield mowing program on <br /> a routine weekly schedule. Our preference would be that outfield mowing is done on <br /> Thursday or Friday of each week to facilitate weekend tournaments. I understand you have <br /> an extensive workload to accomplish with a minimum amount of staff. I also understand you <br /> are in the process of upgrading some mowing equipment that might enable you to better <br /> facilitate our requested schedule at a later date. <br /> Please let me know your thoughts regarding development of a formal maintenance agreement. <br /> Also, if you will be able to meet our request of a scheduled weekly mowing of the ballfield <br /> outfields. We very much appreciated your staff being able to get the outfields mowed prior to <br /> our June 10th and 11th tournament. It helped us have a successful tournament.
