APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Mr. Ebbitt moved, seconded by Mr. Berry, that the minutes of the January 21, <br /> 1997, meeting of the Scobert Park Advisory Committee be approved as <br /> distributed. Ms. Beck determined the motion was adopted because seven <br /> members voted in favor of its passage. Ms. Reinhard indicated that she did not <br /> vote because she had not been present at the meeting. <br /> Mr. Ebbitt moved, seconded by Mr. Stockton, that the minutes of the January 28, <br /> 1997, meeting of the Scobert Park Advisory Committee be approved as <br /> distributed. ITEMS FROM COMMITTEE <br /> Mr. Filloy asked how many opinion surveys about Scobert Park recommendations had been distributed. <br /> Ms. Beck replied that 70 surveys had been distributed through the mail and approximately 400 had <br /> been hand delivered by members and distributed at community and senior centers. She said that the 46 <br /> surveys returned were not a statistically valid sample, but provided input to the committee from <br /> interested individuals and groups. She suggested members needed to determine the weight they would <br /> give to the responses. <br /> W. FINALIZING RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Ms. Beck referred to a packet of information entitled "Scobert Park Citizens Survey February 1997" <br /> distributed with the agenda of the meeting. She noted that a summary of responses to the survey was <br /> contained on pages 1 -3 of the material and noted there was a great diversity in comments submitted by <br /> respondents collated in the remainder of the material. <br /> Mr. Chouinard facilitated consideration of recommendations about Scobert Park to be made to directors <br /> of the Public Works and Public Safety departments by the committee.
