HAMMITT Bob
From: JENNINGS Carrie A
To: HAMMITT Bob
Subject: FW: Scobert Park Project Funding
Date: Thursday, October 30, 1997 10:55AM
From: CALKINS Carol L
To: JENNINGS Carrie A
Subject: RE: Scobert Park Project Funding
Date: Thursday, October 30, 1997 10:34AM
Thanks for the info. Since Supplemental #1 has already been submitted, I guess we will have to do this on
#3. Carol
From: JENNINGS Carrie A
To: CALKINS Carol L
Cc: MORGAN Dick A; DONAHUE Tammy G; KOFFORD Carolyn
Subject: Scobert Park Project Funding
Date: Thursday, October 30, 1997 9:01 AM
FROM: Bob Hammitt
As follow up to our phone conversation yesterday, I checked the notes for the Scobert Park Committee.
Dave Whitlow committed $5,000 from the Department of Public Safety and I committed $5,000 from
Public Works. The agreement was that the committee would submit a proposal through the Whiteaker
Community Council for expenditure of that money. Their proposal is to use $500 for a new park sign with
the name Scobert Gardens, $400 for a community event, and the remaining $9,100 for new playground
equipment. The $5,000 committed by the Department of Public Safety would be used for the playground
equipment.
As long as you are needing to move the money, it could best be utilized by putting it in a parks capital
account 311- 9335 -62900 with project 922272. Since this is a transfer from department to department, it
would need a supplemental budget action with a BARF.
Let me know if this does not work for you. Carolyn Kofford will help you with any detail work.
Page 1
