TABLE 40V
The traffic is already horrendous. We're not ready for a whole new development. And 900 houses would just be a start - what
else are they waiting to build that they're not telling us about?
Concemed about Santa Clara taxes being affected. City of Eugene taking up more land.
Developer /city did not input first to citizens to work details out. Opposed to developers doing land deals with city. Don't trust
city officials or developers.
Too much city involvement, not really above board on financial matters.
The park should stay or be under county jurisdiction. I don't trust the city of Eugene and believe that this is in part an attempt
to annex Belle Estate.
I don't want to be part of the city because the people are against free enterprise. I don't care about parks.
97405
I don't think it really stops at land swapping; I think there are ulterior motives. I don't think that the city has the city citizens at
their best interest.
Because of the questions I would have to assume that it would increase the urban growth boundary. I think the city will do
whatever they want regardless of citizen input.
We have enough parks
97401
I think we have enough parks if people would just use them.
97402
Too much traffic will be in the area. The park isn't really wanted. We need the farm land, not cover it up with houses.
There are too many houses out here. They can't take care of the parks we have now properly so why get new ones?
There is a whole hell of a lot of parks already. There are parks all over the place.
The parks around aren't used as it is. If they have a million dollars in a budget they could use it for the schools and maintain
the parks we have.
We have enough parks. 1 don't feel good about the idea. We have parks that aren't utilized or maintained.
I think because park money could be better spent. From what I have noticed there are enough parks now. There is enough
traffic now in the Santa Clara area and Eugene without adding more.
If 1 understand it, it was voted against by the community and now the city council wants to go ahead with it. The money could
be used for other things. There are enough parks.
We have enough parks, the parks we have are not maintained. The city council sits and bullshits on worthless issues. The
mayor only wants to build up downtown.
97404
The parks are just fine. They don't need to build anymore houses.
The number of houses is too high. And we have plenty of parks in Eugene and Springfield.
I feel that the agricultural land should be preserved. There is a nice big wild park off of Beacon already.
