TABLE 40V
If the city is pushing it, I'm against it. If they have all this money, why not spend it on the needs we have now?
I'm concerned about Santa Clara taxes being affected. City of Eugene taking up more land.
Agricultural, traffic, increase of students and not being able to accommodate them tax wise.
Increased taxes, traffic congestion.
Not being annexed, and the city can't manage what they have now.
Developers will make too much gain from proposal. Probably higher taxes and more traffic congestion.
Traffic patterns and environment would change, no annexation because of tax increases.
Possible problem of annexing and raising taxes, and maybe not adding so many homes because of privacy and traffic
problems.
We need to spend the money somewhere else. I don't think we should be messing up the laws of urban growth boundary.
Moving the boundary would increase taxes for minimal services.
97405
It all comes down to taxes. I don't want to see them going up again.
1 think the city should calm down, they don't have enough money to do all this, they should just take care of business- fire,
police, homeless care, feeding children who don't have enough food.
Because the usage of proposed park would not be supported adequately by people not paying taxes in Santa Clara area.
They should be annexed into the city as well.
Agricultural land issue
97401
They want to take more farm land, and no. They can put all the houses in south hills that they want to.
Farmland should stay farmland.
97402
I feel we should preserve farm land. They will find some way to try and get more money from taxpayers for something.
Can't see destroying prime farmland, and the overcrowding of schools. I want to save the wetlands that we have left. The City
just wants to add to their tax base.
They would find some way of getting money out of taxpayers. Too much sprawl, too fast of growth, too much pressure on the
schools and infrastructures, most important, the destruction of farm land.
Too much traffic will be in the area. The park isn't rely wanted. We need the farm land, not cover it up with houses.
I want to preserve the wetlands and the farm lands.
They need to spend the money elsewhere. We need the farmland for food.
97408
I think the agricultural and wetlands need to be preserved.
