Mechanical clean <br /> up costs only $450 per acre, mainly because of the flat terrain. Riverbank <br /> clean up by jail inmate crews reveal that they figure $8400 per acre. They <br /> have already spent 6,720 hours clearing about 4 acres along the canal. <br /> We will continue to do what we can towards this type of clearing, but any <br /> accelerated program will have to wait for dollars. <br /> cc: D.
