SECTION I: A notification of the upcoming election shall be mailed no later than October <br /> 1 to every card holding member of Emerald Valley BMX. This notification shall include <br /> job descriptions of the elected officers as outlined in Article 5, Section L and shall also <br /> include the election rules. <br /> SECTION J: Absentee votes shall be accepted for the election of officers. The absentee <br /> ballot shall be cast as follows: On the Saturday that the nominations are closed, a qualified - <br /> voter (see Article V, Section D) with a written statement noting that they have to work the <br /> night of the election shall be allowed to cast their vote into a sealed box during the main <br /> event. The box shall remain sealed until the night of the election. <br /> SECTION K: No proxy votes shall be allowed. <br /> SECTION L: Duties of Elected Officers. <br /> 1. Track Operator. The Track Operator shall be responsible for: <br /> a. Security System to include distribution of keys. <br /> b. Corresponding with Sanctioning Body. <br /> c. Liaison with all other tracks. <br /> d. The Head Race Official. <br /> e. The operation of regional and national events. <br /> f. Appointing the Annual Awards Banquet Coordinator <br /> g. Coordinating track upkeep. <br /> h. Organizing Work Parties. <br /> i. Conducting rider meetings. <br /> 2. President. The President shall be responsible for: <br /> a. Assisting the Track Operator. <br /> b. Initiating new procedures subject to Board ratification and /or majority <br /> membership vote. <br /> c. Appointing Race Officials. <br /> d. Presiding at all business meetings. <br /> e. Public Relations. <br /> f. Organizing Riders Clinics. <br /> g. General supervision of affairs and business. <br /> h. Standing committee chairmanships are filled. <br /> 3. Vice President. The Vice President shall be responsible for: <br /> a. Assisting the President. <br /> b. Ordering trophies. <br /> c.
