Tues., July 3 (6.5 hrs) 1. In response to an email I sent this morning, asking for the
timeline on successful changes being uploaded to the actual
database and new changes being available to test on the test
database, I received an email from Steve at 2 p.m. this afternoon,
indicating that he "will try to have that set moved into production
Thursday" and new changes to review on Friday.
Began to input RiverPlay donations. Issues are noted in issues
spreadsheet at:
\ \Cesrv200 \public \Shared \Therese\POSDonations Issue List.xls
Weds, July 4 HOLIDAY!
Thurs, July 5 (7.75hrs) 1. Continue to enter RiverPlay donations and enumerate issues.
2. Received an email from Steve this morning at 11 a.m. with this
update: "I have moved the version of the application you tested
into production. I will be working on other issues and try to have
them moved into test late Friday." I was concerned about the most
recent RiverPlay donation entries I had made, wondering if they
had been overridden with this most recent update of the system but
Steve confirmed that he only updated the functionality of the
system, i.e. implemented programming changes only. I also
wondered if I should avoid being in the database when he is
uploading changes to it as I did experience some malfunction of
the system around the same time he was uploading this most recent
set of changes. He said there was a remote possibility that this may
have occurred and that in the future he would notify me when he
was planning to upload changes to the system.
Fri, July 6 Therese not in today.
Mon, July 9 (8.5 hrs) 1. As of the beginning of the day, no notification from Steve
regarding new changes being available to test.
2. Prepared summary of in -house database evaluation & research
on commercially available donor tracking programs for Carolyn.
3. Met with Steve Neet, 1:30 -2:30 p.m:
• Steve reported that his workload has been significantly reduced
to allow him to devote more time to this project. He is in the
process of working on enabling the ability to delete items.
Although he had hoped to have some changes to test to us by
last Friday, there are not, unfortunately, any corrections ready
to test yet.
