• There was consensus that we disband the meeting early to
allow Steve to continue to work on outstanding issues, rather
than reviewing another batch of issues. At present, Steve has
not been able to keep pace with incoming issues and we
decided that we wouldn't meet until we had more corrections
to test and review. Steve said he hoped to have corrections to
test by this coming Thursday.
• Carrie, Therese and Jesse agreed to prioritize the most recent
issues on the spreadsheet. This was completed and recorded
with an additional column here:
\ \Cesrv200 \public\ Shared \Therese\POSDonations_Issue List.xls
4. Therese and Jesse selected a few representative issues and
enhancements as demos for upcoming meeting with Johnny here:
\ \Cesrv200 \public \Shared \Therese \Issues Demo_list.xls
Tues, July 10 (5 hrs) 1. Updated project timeline.
2. Attended Blackbaird teleseminar entitled, "Increase unrestricted
Funding." The seminar was very informative about the tenets for
successful organizational fundraising strategies and specifically
cited these key points in relation to selecting and utilizing an
appropriate donor tracking tool:
• In developing a stewardship plan for thanking and
acknowledging donors and reporting on the result of the
donors' investment, they mentioned the ability to create action
tracks that automate this stewardship plan and other donor
communication/cultivation strategies and commitments in The
Raiser Edge.
• One of the issues that Blackbaird sees with new clients is that
the donor tracking database does not match the development
program's strategy and plan. I think this is what we're
encountering with the in -house donation database. The tool
simply does not have the sophistication, user - interface or
versatility to effectively and efficiently accommodate and
proactively support a growing donation program.
3. Continue to enter RiverPlay donations.
Notes: Hours in parentheses is a record of Therese's time spent on the project for the
designated timeframe.)
Accumulative total of Therese's hours: 168.50
