Real Property Officer - This is an existing position currently held by Ken <br /> Doud. The position would be responsible for both property management of city <br /> owned and leased facilities as well as right -of- way- acquisition. To date, the <br /> focus of this position has been on the latter. The Real Property Officer will <br /> develop a proactive property management program for the City owned and leased <br /> properties. <br /> Asst. Real Property Officer - This position will share responsibilities with <br /> the Real Property Officer in the areas of right -of -way and property acquisi- <br /> tion as well as having an emphasis on developing an up to date inventory of <br /> property and leases in addition to establishment of a uniform leasing process. <br /> Clerk 3 - This new position will be assigned to the Administration Division in <br /> order to give additional support for the activity generated by the increased <br /> staff positions and decrease response time for such activities as project and <br /> budget accounting. <br /> Facilities Maintenance Section - (Maintenance Support Section) <br /> Maintenance Support Manager - This is an existing management position filled <br /> by George Jessie who is the section manager of the Maintenance Support <br /> Section. The Maintenance Support Section is one of the three sections within <br /> the Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department. With the Facilities <br /> Maintenance unit being incorporated into this section, duties of this position <br /> will include; policy development and administrative activities for the Facil- <br /> ities Maintenance and associated Facilities Maintenance Planning activities; <br /> providing the Maintenance Division's staff support to the Facilities Board; <br /> and coordination of the Facilities Maintenance Sections activities with those <br /> of the Facilities Projects and Program Management Section. <br /> Facilities Maintenance Manager - This is a new position supervised by the <br /> Maintenance Support Manager. The Facilities Maintenance Manager will have <br /> four major areas of responsibility. First, supervision of the Facilities <br /> Maintenance Section. Second, contract administration for the city -wide HVAC <br /> maintenance contract, the elevator maintenance contracts, and on -going service <br /> contracts for technical maintenance services such as plumbing and electrical. <br /> Third, evaluation of current maintenance policies and practices. Fourth, <br /> coordination of on -going condition audits for all City buildings. <br /> As the Facilities Maintenance Section evolves it is intended for supervision <br /> of the various Building Maintenance Workers to be performed by a Field Crew <br /> Supervisor, planned to be added at a later date, who would then be supervised <br /> by the Facilities Maintenance Manager. <br /> Building Maintenance Workers (6) - These six positions consist of the reclas- <br /> sification of two existing carpenter (Park Specialist) positions and an <br /> addition of four new positions. Initially, supervision of these positions <br /> will be provided by the Facilities Maintenance Manager and later by a Field <br /> Crew Supervisor.
