shall have no expectation of personal privacy in the use of the City's <br /> information technologies. <br /> • Employees should be aware that the City may access, view or listen to any <br /> electronic record or communication created or stored on City equipment. <br /> All employees should also be aware that the use of a password does not <br /> give rise to any right of privacy and that the use of the deletion keystroke <br /> or button does not necessarily mean that a record, communication, or <br /> document has been eliminated from a computer. <br /> Scenario 3 - City perspective: <br /> 1. Accessing personal e-mail should be done on break -time or after work, to limit <br /> interference with Boone's job activities. The use of a non -City browser on city <br /> equipment is inappropriate and should not be downloaded. Using the Starbucks <br /> hot -spot is not appropriate if a City connection to the Internet is close. If <br /> Boone is traveling on City business, then using non -City hosted hot- spots, like <br /> the Starbucks hot -spot, is appropriate. <br /> 2.
