IOW <br /> implementation of the wetlands program through the budget process, annual reports and other <br /> means. <br /> Mission Statement <br /> WAG is a partnership of federal and local governments and non - profit organizations who <br /> believe that coordinated, shared management of the west Eugene wetlands enables us to be <br /> more effective and to use limited resources more efficiently. We have agreed to shares <br /> resources, risks, ir' i ormation, and technologies. <br /> WAG MISSION: To enable partner agencies and organizations to effectively <br /> share in the efficient and coordinated operation and <br /> management of the west Eugene wetland system. <br /> Goals <br /> The WAG goals are established to carry out the Mission and purposes described above: <br /> 1. To keep elected officials informed about the West Eugene Wetlands Program. <br /> 2. To provide the network for communication and coordinated decision - making regarding <br /> capital improvements and management of the west Eugene wetlands system. <br /> 3. To provide efficiencies by cooperating in the management of the wetland system in <br /> ways that take advantage of the strengths of the partners in a shared arrangement for <br /> the mutual benefit of the environment and the public. <br /> 4. To provide a forum for resolving policy conflicts in the spirit of using open <br /> communications as an opportunity to find positive solutions to problems. <br /> 5. To use long range planning as the basis for sound management decision making. <br /> 6. To bring vision and creativity to the implementation of the applicable long range plans. <br /> 7. To accommodate the differing needs of the partners and to enable partners to jointly <br /> manag their shared resources. <br /> 8. To work together for success through viable partnerships; measure success of agencies <br /> and organizations; and celebrate and communicate our achievements to the partnership <br /> members, the public, and our respective officials and leaders. <br /> 9. To provide fmancial stability and excellence to the wetland management system. <br /> 10. To achieve the multiple objectives outlined in the long -range plans. <br />
