RECOMMENDED GUIDELINE <br /> Applicability <br /> 1. This guideline applies to new and redevelopment projects, partitions, planned unit <br /> developments, subdivisions, site plan reviews, maintenance activities, restoration and <br /> enhancement activities, and any other activity where there is a potential public interest via the <br /> City's stormwater management program. <br /> 2. This guidelinelapplies to water - related resources that perform one or more stormwater <br /> • <br /> function (i.e. conveyance, storage, treatment). Water - related resources include: 1) open <br /> conveyance channels that are part of the City's stormwater system, and 2) creeks, sloughs,' <br /> wetlands, and riparian areas. <br /> 3. The level of resource management should be consistent with the level of information <br /> known about the resource, the value of the resource in providing stormwater benefits, and, as <br /> applicable, management recommendations from existing plans and studies. -. <br /> 4. The guideline assumes natural resources that perfom stormwater functions should be <br /> protected and enhanced, as applicable. The guideline, therefore, is used to respond to requests <br /> for piping and/or relocating the resource. The following should be used as a management <br /> framework for these resources and for responding to development requests: <br /> STEP 1- L• •'ICI • • •._, • 1 1. i !II , • 6 <br /> In order for the stormwater program to have interest in the management of a resource site, a <br /> determination must be made that the site is relevant to carrying -out the goals, policies, and <br /> services of the program. Final determination is the responsibility of the Eugene Public Works <br /> Director, or designee. If yes, proceed to Step 2. If no, respond to applicant with a statement <br /> of no interest.
