Recommendation: <br /> • Building Permits. See sections 1.0 -1.21 and 2.2 of this memorandum - <br /> specifically checklists, model plans, and guidance manual. <br /> 2.4 Inspections. See section 1.0 -1.21. <br /> 2.5 Enforcement. What is the appropriate time period for corrective action and what fine <br /> amount is appropriate as a penalty? <br /> Recommendation: - -- <br /> • Impose the maximum fine amount allowed under City code ($500 per day - Section <br /> 2.018 para 5) and provide for a fee reduction down to $100 per day based on the <br /> violator's performance to the penalty (timeliness, willingness, attitude), magnitude <br /> and severity of the violation, and the history of the violator (repeat offender). <br /> 3 <br />
