(
MEMORANDUM
Date: July 25, 1994
From: Bob Hammitt
To: Kevin Hornbuckle
CC: Shawn Boles
Subject: Hazardous Tree Removal
Kevin, I am sending this to you for your information in case you are contacted
by constituents. Shawn, since the tree is near your Ward, I am copying this
to you.
On Saturday morning, we received an emergency call out due to a 6" to 8" limb
that had fallen from a sweetgum tree at the northwest corner of Broadway and
Charnelton. Emergency cleanup work was performed on Saturday.
This morning an inspection was performed on the tree. It was discovered that
an additional 6" to 8" limb was fractured and ready to fall out of the tree.
There are two major leads in the tree that residual damage from the falling
limb and will likely break. Due to the damage, it is necessary to remove the
entire tree. This tree is 16" to 18" DBH and is the size that we would
normally post for one week. Because of the circumstances, we are removing the
tree today without posting.
I hope this information is of benefit. Give me a jingle at 687 -5220 if you
need additional information.
