Class I -- Immediate Hazards <br /> Class II -- Potential Hazards <br /> Class III -- Tree Safety Work <br /> Class IV -- Maintenance Tree Pruning <br /> Special Work Requests <br /> The four classes of tree work cover the majority of tree - related services provided by the <br /> Section. Beyond these activities, there are the special service requests which come to <br /> the section (primarily from internal customers) because of our unique equipment and /or <br /> skills. Some of these special requests come at particular times each year and can be <br /> planned for; others occur with little advance notice. These "Special Work Requests" <br /> will be reviewed and scheduled on a case -by -case basis. The review will consider origin, <br /> deadlines, available staff, and public safety. The Section recognizes its obligation to <br /> provide these out -of -the- ordinary services. However, in an effort to make best use of <br /> our resources, we will work with our internal customers to ensure that, as much as <br /> possible, adequate notice is given so the projects can be fit into the work schedule. <br /> Once this system is fully in place, regular treework will be scheduled and completed <br /> primarily on a class by class basis. Normally, all Class I work will be scheduled im- <br /> mediately upon notification of a hazard. All Class II work, "Potential Hazards ", would <br /> be follow accordingly. The balance of Section resources will be allocated to Class III <br /> and IV based on completed inspections of service requests. Response time targets are: <br />
