This doesn't even begin to address the large
number of dead and dying trees around the City which never get called in and thus
never make it into the work request queue.
The Section's proposed Mission Statement emphasizes public safety as well as main-
taining an aesthetically pleasing urban forest. A priority system was developed with the
goals of protecting the public, and the desire to limit the City's exposure to liability
claims. This process will result in the Section's resources
being focused in the areas of highest priority. By using such a system, staff will be able
to let customers know how their request fits within the Section's workprogram and
when they might reasonably expect the work to be completed.
Work Priorities
