STRETREE Page 3 <br /> PROJECT TREE MAINTENANCE <br /> Contractor to provide all maintenance including watering until "acceptance" of construction at start of warranty period. <br /> Contractor must warranty tree for the one year project warranty period but is not responsible for maintenance including <br /> watering or for loss due to lack of maintenance, accident, or vandalism. <br /> Adjoining property owner, City, or contractor to provide maintenance after warranty period begins as follows: <br /> Local (Residential) Streets <br /> Trees will be planted if adjoining property owners do not respond with a rejection. Resident is expected to <br /> water tree. All other maintenance by City. If resident does not want a tree or is unwilling to water then no tree <br /> will be planted. PWM will send reminders to water until tree is established. <br /> Collectors and Minor Arterials <br /> Trees on these streets are considered a long term asset to the City and may be planted reguardless of <br /> adjoining property owners rejection. City will ask adjoining property owner to water. If owner is unwilling to <br /> water then PWM will water until tree is established. PWM will send reminders to owner to water until tree is <br /> established. PWM will provide all other maintenance. <br /> Major Arterials <br /> In some cases watering may be included for one or two seasons in the contract. Otherwise all maintenance <br /> will be the same as with Collectors and Minor Arterials. <br />
