• <br /> r . , SIIL ACCESS <br /> 1. Access to a work site will be made by the most practical route possible utilizing City <br /> property and rights -of -way. When the service request is from a private property owner, the <br /> owner will allow the City access through their property to the work site if no other access is <br /> practical: The owner will agree to hold the City harmless for reasonable work site <br /> disturbance. <br /> 2. The City will clean up the work site to as found or better. <br /> WILDFIRE PREVENTION <br /> A dead evergreen tree twelve (12) inches (dbh) or larger with a crown within fifteen (15) feet <br /> of the ground shall be cut down. The limbs from the crown will be either removed, chipped, <br /> or otherwise placed so that they do not raise more than six (6) inches from the ground The <br /> logs may be left on site (note: dead evergreens are of a much higher wildfire hazard than <br /> dead deciduous trees. Deciduous trees drop there leaves and have limbs well spaced apart <br /> compared to evergreen trees.) <br /> PUBLIC NOIIFICA'IION OF WORK <br /> 1. A record of the maintenance needs will be made. This shall include the specific factors <br /> creating the hazard and the potential target. In addition, a notation shall be made as to• the <br /> wildlife value of the tree. This will include any sightings or evidence of wildlife occupation <br /> of the tree. Photographic record shall be made of the tree to be rendered safe. <br /> 2. The record shall be available for public inspection at the time of the area's posting. <br /> 3. These records shall be kept at Public Works - Maintenance, 1820 Roosevelt Blvd., <br /> Eugene, OR 97402 -4199, during business hours. <br /> POSTING <br /> 1. Whenever possible a notice will be posted, for the removal of trees 12" dbh or greater, <br /> in the area of the tree's removal. The area shall be posted at least seven calendar days prior <br /> to removal.
